What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a small post-like device made of titanium or titanium zirconium. Surgically placed in the jaw bone to replace missing tooth root. When healed the dental implant acts as a strong base anchor the artificial tooth.

Plan and Diagnosis

  • X-ray images are taken to determine if an implant is the right solution.
  • One important condition for the treatment is that there is sufficient bone.
  • We want to ensure the best outcome for you.

Implant Placement: Place implant under anesthesia and form the gum tissue around the implant.

Healing: The bone around the implant grows and integrates with the implant surface during the healing phase, lasting for around 2-3 months.

Placement of Implant Abutment (Second Surgery): When healing is complete we will place in final abutment, a small piece that connects the implant to the crown. Make impression of the implant to order the crown from the dental lab.

Final Crown: When the final crown is returned from the lab, the temporary tooth will be removed and final crown will be perminatly put into place.
